Identifying factors affecting students' sports participation: a qualitative approach

Abstract
Regular participation in physical activity is essential for good health. Active people benefit from higher levels of health-related fitness. Therefore, the aim of the research was to identify the effective factors on students' sports participation: a qualitative approach. Also, the current research is based on data search, has a qualitative nature and is based on the theory of the data base (Glaseri method) and is of the type of applied research. There are 16 youth sports experts, age group sports coaches and school sports teachers. The sampling method was purposive and available-snowball. According to the results of the research, there are four concepts: peripheral effective factors (2 concepts), individual effective factors (5 concepts), sports effective factors (3 concepts) and managerial effective factors (3 concepts) in relation to the effective factors on students' sports participation. has been identified. In the end, it is suggested that according to the effect of individual factors, measures should be taken by the organizations in charge of sports and education to familiarize students with sports disciplines, develop students' understanding of sports, and familiarize them with healthy lifestyles.
