The current research was one of the descriptive analytical researches, based on the objective, of the type of applied research. The statistical population of the research was made up of all 7099 shooting athletes, of which 367 athletes were selected as the final sample based on Morgan's table. To collect data, meetings of the strategic council, interviews with shooting elites, and the use of a researcher-made questionnaire were used. The formal and content validity of the questionnaire was checked by expert professors and the reliability of the questionnaire was checked by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient and its value was 0.89 and confirmed. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Friedman's test) were used to analyze the research data. All statistical analyzes were performed using Spss22 software. The results showed that shooting sport has 10 strengths, 12 weaknesses, 10 opportunities and 10 threats. Also, the score of internal factors was 2.32 and the score of external factors was 2.40. According to the results, Iran's shooting sport is in the weakness area in the domestic environment and in the threat area in the external environment; Thus, the development of shooting sports in Iran requires the development of strategic plans in which the development of shooting sports infrastructure, promotion and empowerment of officials, coaches and athletes are considered.
