Selecting the right human resources for holding sports such as football is one of the fundamental problems that officials face in order to develop a good job. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to design a model of the role of responsibility on the decision-making of elite football and futsal referees in Asia. The research method was descriptive and structural equation modeling, which was implemented in the field. The statistical population of this research included elite football and futsal referees in Asia, of whom 292 respondents participated in the research through convenience sampling. Researcher-made questionnaires were used to collect data. To analyze the data, descriptive indicators and statistical tests of regression analysis and path analysis were used in SPSS version 16 and Lisrel version 8.8 statistical software. The results showed that the components of social, legal, ethical and economic responsibility have a positive and significant effect on referees decision-making. Also, accountability had a positive and significant effect on the individual and organizational decision-making components of referees. On the other hand, the results showed that the path analysis pattern between responsibility and decision-making is positive and meaningful (β=0.84, T-Value=16.9). Therefore, it can be concluded that by respecting the rights of referees, strengthening the sense of trustworthiness and observing fair treatment among them, it is possible to increase the level of responsibility and subsequently the quality of decision-making performance of elite referees in the arena.
