The Transformation of Women's Health in the Digital Age: The Impact of Fitness Apps on Physical Activity Quality, Sleep Quality, and Mental Health

Abstract
the aim of the present research was to investigate the impact of digital age fitness apps on the physical activity, sleep quality, and mental health of women. This applied research is correlational in nature, and data collection was carried out in the field. Due to the lack of accurate statistics regarding the female population, a sample size of 384 women was selected purposefully based on Cochran’s formula. To collect the data for this study, three standardized questionnaires related to fitness apps, physical activity level, sleep quality, and mental health were utilized. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by sports management experts, and their reliability was measured in a preliminary study with Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.76, 0.79, 0.87, and 0.81, respectively. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The software programs SPSS 25 and Smart PLS 3 were used for data analysis. The findings of the research indicated a positive and significant relationship between the use of fitness apps and the physical activity levels of women in Golestsn. The results also showed a positive and significant relationship between the use of fitness apps and the sleep quality of women in Golestan. Finally, it was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the use of fitness apps and the mental health of women in Golestan. Based on the results obtained, it appears that increasing women's awareness of the benefits of using fitness apps is recommended.
